Print FAQ's

Got a query about print? Then you’ve come to the right place! Read our FAQ’s for this popular process.

What type of print is available?

Our expert print team offer screen-print, DTG and DTF print. Each is great for different purposes and all produce lasting results. It can get quite complicated, choosing the perfect print method… so we do it for you! We take the hassle out of print by using our expert knowledge to pick the best method for your design. Simply upload your artwork and we will do the rest.

If you would like us to use a certain print method, just write a note on your order or drop us an email. We can’t guarantee to use your preferred method but if it’s possible, we will do our best.

What format should my artwork be in?

The best format is vector which can be created through programmes like Illustrator. But if you can’t achieve this, send us a high quality file in any of these formats: Ai, eps, svg, cdr, png, pdf

If you send a link to an image, ensure the link is embedded in the file.

What size should my artwork be?

We recommend the artwork be the size you want the print to be, or larger. All files should be a minimum resolution of 300dpi

How do I know what my print will look like?

Before we start printing, you will receive a visual from our team. This will show you how the print will look on your garment. You simply approve the proof if you are happy, and away we go!

But make sure you check properly! Once you hit approve, Banana Moon are not liable for any little mistakes you might have missed. We try our best to spot them, but it is up to you to check everything is correct.

What is our re-draw service?

We want to help you have the best quality printing possible, so if your artwork isn’t good quality, you can either continue on, re-upload other artwork or we can re-draw it for you.

This involves us taking your artwork file and re-creating it to be a high quality artwork file fit for print. We charge £25 (£30 inc vat) for this service and we will even send you the new files upon request for future use

Tips & Tricks

Always Remove Your Background

By removing the background on the original file the required image is isolated, making it easier to transfer to the garment.

Don't Make Objects too Small

Ideally try & make sure text is no smaller than 3mm high & line widths are at least 0.4mm. Any smaller than this can be too fine for the print to achieve.

Convert Fonts to Objects

For vector files, all text should be saved as objects or curves to ensure your fonts appear as you intended.
