British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK)

BATUK Golf Society tee off in quality branded polo shirts from Banana Moon

Background

The Royal Military Police (RMP) is the corps of the British Army responsible for the policing of army service personnel, and for providing a military police presence both in the UK and while service personnel are deployed overseas on operations and exercises. Within the RMP, the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) delivers world leading infantry training in Kenya.

The Opportunity

The BATUK Golf Society needed to source branded polo shirts for its society members. The polo shirts would feature the society logo and other personalised elements, to provide a smart and cohesive look for society members and serve as a memento of their service time in Kenya.

The Solution

We helped BATUK to select a suitable polo shirt from our range, advising on technical attributes including the weight and sweat wicking capability of the different fabrics. This would be particularly important for playing sport in Kenyan temperatures. BATUK sent their design ideas to us, and we produced detailed artwork so that they could see how their designs would look. The society logo was embroidered on the front and a Kenyan flag was embroidered on the sleeve.

The Banana Moon experience

‘I have worked with Banana Moon on many occasions before. They provide exceptional customer service – I always deal with the same contact there and she is great, so helpful. The polo shirts arrived so quickly out here in Kenya after I had signed off the designs – the turnaround was extremely fast. We have had excellent feedback from our society members and have since placed more orders.’
